About the Role
Adobe is hiring Software Development Engineers to build and maintain systems that power one of the world's largest e-commerce and cloud platforms. As an SDE-1 you will own features end-to-end — from design to deployment.
Responsibilities
- ›Build scalable backend services using Java and AWS
- ›Collaborate with product and design teams to define features
- ›Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
- ›Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems
- ›Contribute to system design discussions
Requirements
- ›B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
- ›Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
- ›Proficiency in Java (primary) or Python/C++
- ›Understanding of OOP principles
- ›Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
- ›Ability to write clean, maintainable code
Nice to Have
- ›Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB)
- ›Experience with microservices architecture
- ›Knowledge of distributed systems concepts
Amazon's Leadership Principles
All interview rounds assess Amazon's 16 Leadership Principles. Prepare stories using the STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result) for each principle.
Key principles to focus on: Customer Obsession, Ownership, Dive Deep, Deliver Results.
Selection Process
- ›Online Assessment — 2 coding problems + work simulation (90 min)
- ›Technical Round 1 — DSA problems + LP questions
- ›Technical Round 2 — System Design + DSA
- ›Bar Raiser Round — LP focus + light technical
Compensation
- ›Base Salary: ₹22–26 LPA
- ›Joining Bonus: ₹2–3 LPA (one-time)
- ›Stock (RSU): ₹10–15 LPA vested over 4 years
